1. This is just a continuation of the media's kid glove, coddling of Bush
Poor widdle Bushie. Nobody wikes him. Little man is having a bad day. Aaaaww. Let's all feel sorry for him. Those Democrats are a bunch of meanies.

Spare me.

4. Change your POV mate and you might have a giggle instead.

Read that article as if it were written by someone who knows and sees Bush for exactly what he is, and now will be for the next two years.

Read that way, the article cumulatively has close to the impact of Winston Churchill's: "Madame, if I were your husband I'd drink it."

It is indeed: "Poor widdle boy.", but I think the tone, for all it's excruciating politeness (or perhaps because of), it is a far more condescending and scathing one, than many/most in the past.

It might be politically incorrect to say it, but that article almost shouts to me. "People, please, we have to make allowances, he's special."

The guy who wrote the article is AP not LA Times, so unless he has a track record of bussing Republican butt (something I don't know) I'll give the bloke the benefit of the doubt and accord him a subtlety of wit he may not deserve.

(O.K. guys and gals, you may now burst my bubble and tell me he's a bushbot through and through.)
