Democrats Credit Limbaugh with Senate Win

Democrats give credit to an unlikely angel

Rush Limbaugh’s remarks on Fox ad led to interest and money for McCaskill, they say.

Missouri Democrats aren’t often in a position to thank Rush Limbaugh for much of anything.

But Wednesday, Democrats were showering the conservative radio commentator with gratitude for his hand in Claire McCaskill’s narrow win over Jim Talent in Missouri’s U.S. Senate race.

“I’d call it an unexpected gift,” said longtime Democratic activist Woody Overton.

“We have Rush Limbaugh to thank for a lot of things,” McCaskill campaign manager Richard Martin said.

That lady was more upset about the stem cell bill passage than the Senate election. She was openly whining about Rush's impact.

14. What I'd like to give Limbaugh credit for.....
is blowing his cozy relationship with the Rovian attack machine, not only through his foolish ugly behavior toward Michael J. Fox which helped secure Missouri for the Dems, but for his bizarre "no more water-carrying for Republicans who don't deserve it" post-election monologue. Of course, it remains to be seen just how much damage to that relationship (and the relationship with his fans) he has done. I hope it is deep and lasting.

Someone should have reminded Rush that drugs impair one's judgment.

the end of Rush's career. Maybe the dittoheads will stop listening to the bile he calls info.

19. oh he'll stay around.
I remember after Clinton won re-election, they asked him how he felt. His answer: "Great! I'll have lots of material!"

It's all about his career, no matter what else he says.

10. Ah, Rush.
Gyrate like a Parkinson's victime a little more, you fat bastard. Maybe we'd get lucky, and Bush would off himself with a .32 like Hitler did. Yeah, far-fetched, I know, but who would have EVER thought that your hateful rhetoric would have handed us the Senate? Keep up the good work, you waste of flesh and O2...

17. So many worked tirelessly for Claire McCaskill
Even called people to remind them to vote, gave rides to polls; so, please Steve Kraske, don't give
Rush Limbaugh so damned much credit for Claire's victory. It was partly Talent's closeness to Bush
that turned a lot of the voters off. 94% of his votes were aligned with the president. Cutting funds
for Veterans wasn't well received either.

It probably did hurt Rush Limbaugh for saying those horrible things about Michael J. Fox, but we, were ready to dump Jim Talent long before Rush came along with his usual nonsense. He just made it a little
bit easier.

Here's to you CLAIRE McCASKELL, you fought a good clean fight. :toast: :toast: :toast:
