GOP spokesman: JD Hayworth lost race
http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/1110az-5thdistrict10-ON.html

Though U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth wants to count every ballot in his losing bid for re-election, the National Republican Congressional Committee seems to have given up.

NRCC Communications Director Carl Forti told Republicans in an e-mail that Hayworth and several other GOP incumbents wouldn't be returning to Congress.

"The Scandal Factor Was Costly. We lost several seats by the self-inflicted route," Forti said in an internal "talking points" memo sent Wednesday to Republican strategists and pundits who discussed races on television. snip

When shown the e-mail, Hayworth spokesman Brian Hummell said Forti may have been influenced by newspaper reports that said the race was over. Hayworth has not conceded.

3. I was sick of his schtick on Imus.
Then again, much of Imus is wearing awfully thin.

5. Those are his auditions for FAUX Snooze. He was an asshole sportscaster
here in Arizona before he was an asshole Congressman.

Have I mentioned that I've despised TTHPBB long before the rest of you all? I'm damn proud of it!

4. Regardless of the gerrymander, that is a pretty moderate area.
He trails by 5700 votes (as of Friday 5 PM AZ time) and I don't see how he can make that up. I did a lot of growing up in that area and know it well.

So long, TTHPBB. You inspired some pretty spirited conversation among my yellow-dog Democrat family; we all tried to outdo how much we despised you (my late father easily won, though), but I'm sure we'll see TTHPBB on FAUX within weeks.

KTAR is reporting that that e-mail was leaked, fwiw.

7. Pardon my ignorance...
but what does "TTHPBB" stand for. Reminds me of the sound Milo's cat used to make in the Bloom County cartoon strip.

Guess he'll content himself with a fat salary on K Street. At least until the Democrats can get in there and clean out that rat's nest too.
