Defeated Congressman Sweeney on cover of 'Success' magazine

It wasn't "Dewey Defeats Truman," but it does recall that famous newspaper headline flub of 1948.

The cover picture and story in the November edition of Success Magazine Ltd., a start-up in Clifton Park, is of Republican Congressman John Sweeney.

The magazine, which has about 7,500 paid subscribers and distributes promotional copies within 25 miles of Clifton Park, landed in mailboxes Wednesday, a day after Sweeney lost a bruising campaign against Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand in New York's 20th election district.

Sweeney is pictured smiling broadly on the magazine cover in front of an American flag and the Congressional seal.
