3. Hmm, this raises an interesting question:
What would DU call Newt if he was selected pResident?

Ringitch (ring=anus)?

Liz?

FSOS (for fat sack o' shit)?

Good thing this is only hypothetical. Right? Right?

4. Newt is history. The time he served his wife with divorce papers ...
...while she was in the hospital with cancer is a stake through his heart.

9. One would hope so
Given the deluge of RW hypocracy in the last 2 months one oud think that the LAST thing the repukes would want is a candidate with such a horrible personal history. But they never cease to amaze me with their capacity to ignore history and reality...

5. "Get Us Out of the U.N."
In an old, old M*A*S*H episode, Frank Burns was teaching English to some Korean med techs. Along with other inane phrases, he had them repeat, "Get us out of the UN."

Great comedy is ageless.

6. It's an old John Birch Society slogan
Their version was Get US out of UN (sic). It's been in use since at least 1974.

My town had a big Birch cell for years, and they plastered Get US out of UN stickers over every flat surface they could find. There are still a number of them that appear on the backs of road signs, school buses, etc.

Even the local conservatives look down on the practice.

8. It was probably that version
There used to be a big billboard with that slogan on I-5 south of Seattle. We would always laugh at them when we would drive by it. Bunch of nuts.
