I am just "tickled pink" because of the Democratic wins this week and I intend to relish in the joy of it. Who's with me?

As this victory sinks in more and more and I absorb the meaning of it all I can't help but smile and be truly happy for the first time in 6 years.

All the bickering here has put a damper on the celebration. DU is the absolute #1 community that I want to share this victory with, this joy with and the bickering is a kill-joy. Still, I have decided that I will not be deterred from relishing in the joy of it all.

Some other things to be happy about after celebrating the fact that Democrats won the US House and the US Senate:

Restoring Habeas Corpus
Restoring Congressional Oversight of the Executive Branch, or, in other words, our Checks and Balances are back
It's not likely that Warrantless Wiretaps will be acceptable
John Bolton will NOT be representing the US at the UN
