Where will the far right go? |
|
I'm hearing from them that the Democratic victory (Democrat victory in their language) will not only bring certain doom for the United States, but that we will deserve it for rejecting their Fearless Leader. Maybe it's their turn to consider leaving. But where can a freeper find happiness in todays world? What is the criteria? Where do you find?:
1. No universal health-care (This rules out every other industrial country) 2. No social welfare programs 3. Big corporations call the shots 4. White christian majority - or at least control 5. Low wages for everybody except top executives 6. No separation of church and state - as long as it's the "Right" religion 7. Torture! 8. No liberal media! 9. Reality TV

...than America right now? I think that's their primary love after the endless warfare. I don't understand their huge obsession with taxes given that the Bushco government is going hard core on the war machine while everything else falls apart.

Seriously, a lot of the far has just about had it with the Republican party. Many of the things on your list, such as corporate control, deficits, nation-building, and massive increases in government spending, do not sit well with a lot of these people. The things that's been keeping them Republican is the sense of victory and power. Now that that's been broken, I expect some people will leave the party and others will support a third party. Single-digits percentages, but still, the country is closely divided.
