Has anyone else noticed? (Iraq War coverage)
Has anyone else noticed that the news, CNN, MSNBC, newspapers, etc., have been showing more about the Iraq War, actual footage and actual in-depth analysis of what's happening on the ground, since Tuesday (election day)? It sure seems like it to me.

My take: the news outlets waited for "permission" from the American people to report the news. This means they're not doing their job and have become a political entity(ies). How cowardly! They should have been showing this footage of people getting killed and injured, the real human cost of this war, every day! I am sickened that they have waited so long to start showing THE NEWS!

4. Maybe they are reporting now in hopes of appeasing Dems, so that Dems won't...
reinstate the Fairness Doctrine.

9. Bingo
the election results are an indictment on all of MSM who were crowing along with the status quo for six years as well as their view that Dems may take the Huose but the Senate wuold stay Republican. That these same hacks can still show their faces in public is mind blowing.

Pew Polls my blue ass.:kick: :kick:

By the way Brad Blakeman (MSNBCs always available Rethug hack) just said that Rove would handle Ws library and would not be handling 2008. He'll probably reinvent history for the lying war criminal. Bubye Rove! I'm loving it. :toast: :bounce:

5. I predicted this trend a few days ago. :)
I have a feeling we're going to be seeing and hearing a lot more about the "outside world" in the coming months. The windows have been thrown open.

6. CNN's coverage of injured
was pretty amazing. I did think - how did they get this on the air.
The show covered one year so it has been in the can for a while.

7. They still retain their right leaning bias, but.....
Since the elections the WH threats and intimidation doesn't mean as much.

8. The impeachment poll is over 80% in favor
I think a lot of Americans feel released from shackles after Tuesday. It ould be nice to start discussing things from a realistic framework.

10. Any politician who starts questioning that "Fairness Doctrine"
gets hammered on by the RWing Corp Media. The Media Moguls fight to stay in power over their fiefdoms.

11. Media was not showing names, pics, family info about casualties either
Even though there were over 100 US military deaths in Iraq last month and many wounded, I did not hear a single name mentioned or a face shown or anything about these soldiers' families on TV in the weeks before the election when the violence had escalated. Very sanitized coverage, obviously trying to shelter voters from seeing the human toll to minimize the anti-war election backlash. However I have seen TV coverage showing the plight of wounded soldiers since the election.
