Use RICO statutes to JAIL the Bush Admin for their Giant Money Laundering War |
|
Edited on Sat Nov-11-06 04:20 PM by symbolman
I think that Congress needs to employ the RICO statutes against the entire Bush Admin for complicity in what appears to be a Giant Money Laundering Operation, the Iraq 'WAR'..
There have been stories of planes flying the LARGEST LOADS of CASH ever moved in the History of the US there. Some whistle blowers said that they'd been out kicking Bales of 100 dollar Bills around like soccer balls!
They've been using the Treasury as an ATM while the troops go without, and funneling money to Bechtel, Halliburton, and god knows who all RIGHT OUT OF OUR POCKETS, and the Pockets of our great -great- great grandchildren..
Now they Bring in GATES and BAKER, Gates of Iran/Contra fame and associated with the BCCI, the LARGEST Bank chain for laundering money and SHUT down HARD eventually.
THese are CRIMES and should be dealt with, and I can see the RICO statues, used against the Mafia as being perhaps the most appropriate.
Thoughts?

During Nam, and I can tell you without a Doubt that THIS IS ILLEGAL. There's really no such thing in the military as a NO Bid contract for something of this size and dimensions.
They are serving so many variables that any one of them could be bid on by any other country. Security, Supply, Food Distribution, Laundry, etc, etc..
I did it for Bases all over the US AND in Europe.
This is a FREE LUNCH for their pals, pure and simple.

10. everybody rails endlessly about impeachment, but i think it is vital... |

we dismantle that war profiteering apparatus immediately if not sooner as it is not designed to support our troops, defense, war making, peace making; nothing benefits from trash racketeering but the criminals that support it imo, thank you for your service

6. I agree with your goal of using RICO but . |
|
It should not be directed to the whole administration even though they all deserve it but to just say that the RICO statute's should be used to retrieve the money lost to criminal behavior in government. In fact it should have been used to strip the Enron and World Com exs of there illegal wealth but was not because it seems it is only used against drug dealers now who for the most parts have no money or influence to stop it.g

all that MONEY back into the Treasury, eh?
And I'm willing to BET they ARE running drugs, it's part of what they DO.. I've seen it firsthand, using the Military to smuggle DRUGS..

and do a deep investigation of these criminals. If we don't answer this call, it will definitely hurt the Democrats.

Now THAT'S they way things need to go.. JAIL, RETURN of the MONEY. SHUT DOWN Halliburton, and bring the troops home, since Halliburton is apparently the ONLY contractor that can take care of the troops there :)
thanks for that!

14. Hubby and I were talking today |
|
about this very thing wondering where the dems should start and he said they should start by investigating where the hell all the money has gone (still think Bremer has a nice fat bank account with about $8M in it of our $$) and then shut down KBR and Halliburton if they cannot account for every thin dime they have gotten.
I am not an accoutant, but would the Sorbanes Oxley act come into play anywhere?

On the I/C threads that is another angle being used. In their earlier threads they give a link to a search engine site that specializes in SEC filings.Along with SEC links to what are some supposed smoking guns. I am not familiar with financial law but even I can see that some wierd shit is going on at Haliburton and KBR.
