Will there be a Bush-part 3 running in '08 |
|
Jebbie is out of a job, his governorship over due to the 2-term limit
Given the track record of the bushes
Poppy voted out after 1 term
"W" took a whoopin' in this mid-term, and by the 31% approval according to Newsweek, he's also washed-up
It was mentioned in '04 a bit regarding Jebbie running in '08.
keep in mind '08 is two years away, after the '04 elections alot happened to sour people on "w" and the repubs - so there's alot that can happen between today and '08
given that - do you think Jebbie will even try for a run in '08? or will he wait until '12? and thinking of possible events that may change people's minds - what would his chances be to get the nomination?

1. I don't think he will run |
|
Maybe he will get the Vice Presidential nod, but that is about it.

3. No, he'll run after Hillary gets 2 terms. |
|
Then he'll get 2. Then Chelsea Clinton.

4. Cruella Harris will probably hit him with a bus, "accidentally" of course |
|
I don't believe the voters EVER want to see another Bush from that defective gene pool in the Oval office imho.

8. I am not that optimistic |
|
The voters were dumb enough to fall for Bush's values garbage and the Swift Boat Assholes for Bush and the conservative media crap about Kerry "looking French" or engaging in windsurfing. Whether or not Kerry was born into a privileged family, we know damn well Bush was born with a silver spoon up his nose.
If Jeb puts on an "aw, shucks" demeanor, I fear that voters will fall for it AGAIN.

12. The Voters Didn't Fall For It. We Got Robbed |
|
Gore got more votes in 2000. It was only the Bush family's control of Florida and its elections that allowed Bush** to "win".
If we believe the exit polls before they were "updated", Kerry should have won the 2004 election.
The voters never fell for Bush**.

that he definitively ruled it out in a recent interview. Of course, those things could always change, but that seems to be strong evidence that he won't run.

9. GW has F'd over Jeb more than once. |
|
I've read in more than one place that Jeb confided to GW that he was considering a running for Gov then Pres and then out of the clear blue sky suddenly GW is all up involved in politicing with Mom and Dad firmly behind him.
There's also a lot of scuttlebutt about younger days when Jeb several times voiced a desire to do something and then suddenly GW jumped out first and did it (making Jeb look like the "copycat") -- that sibling rivalry thing in the Bush household was appearantly brutal.
