On the side of the road close to the entrance to the Wal-Mart. These folks were protesting Wal-Mart's love of "teh gay." There were all of 5 of them.

1. Oh, yeah. Wildmon is yammering about Wally World again... |
|
for all the wrong reasons, of course. Same people who brought you the furor over the imagined War against Xmas.

Why, because the greeter doesn't prevent gay people from entering the store?

3. Their signs said that Wal-Mart was giving money to gay rights |
|
I'm not sure why they care. They got "Merry Christmas" back. Sheesh.

5. I'm not sure, but I think I read that WM doesn't discriminate |
|
against gays in its hiring practices. I think the hate mongers found their hiring policy posted on the website....or something. And maybe something about some books that WM refused to "ban." Maybe. I've slept since then.

7. My local Walmart is across the street from the nation's largest gay resort |
|

I would love for the fundies to protest outside that place. Not only is the store crawling with gay people, the resort would get wind of it quickly. The fundies would have a conniption.

Now that the radical religious right has lost so much of it's political power (hell, I remember Pat Robertson STARTING all this shit back in the 80's) perhaps now we will begin to hear less and less about them and from them. To everything there is a season and a time for every bad idea to eventually fizzle out.
