2 yrs ago the muscley young men there gave me a razzing, "yeah we got bush back in to keep us safe". This yr I just asked for chickenfood and smiled. They didn't say anything beyond "thank you" but watched me smile.

gloating notwithstanding, I resist the temptation to use vulgarities or other offensive language in instances like this ever since (and even before, actually) I was asked in Nov. 2004 by a Repug (upon viewing my bumper stickers) whether I was really going to vote for Kerry.

My response was simply "Yes, I believe I will."

To which the guy snarled and spat out "You piece of shit!"

My response was a subdued, "Gee, I hope that made you feel better ... cause it sure made you look stupid."
