We don't hear enough about the true, human cost of this invsion in a way that shows the sacrifice of the soldiers.

Why is that? Why don't we hear more interviews of soldiers dealing with life back in the States? They're living it.

2. I can relate to that. I crochet in part to relieve stress (and i don't bite the |
|
fingernails so much with busy hands).

to deal with the stresses of being a caregiver... the hospital folks recognize me as the "Knitting Lady" who cares for the guy with the toy stuffed raccoon... I get a lot of knitting done, incidentally...

6. I've thought of doing that. |
|
Of course, it was after Hubby told me that I could get a lot of knitting done. *blush* I didn't get any knitting done when I was in the hospital after my surgery--they put the dang IV on the top of my right hand so that I couldn't move my right index finger. Grrr! I got that thing out as soon as I could.

5. Ooh, have you seen the latest Interweave Crochet magazine? |
|
There are so many nice projects in that. I'm going to try to tackle the snowflake skirt. It's just too pretty not to.
Knitting keeps me sane, that's for sure. I'm new to crochet, but I have liked it so far.

I hope he can get some real help with his PTSD. Anything to help I guess is good.

9. I can't imagine the hell he's been through. |
|
Well, he won't have trouble finding a woman, if he wants, if he hangs around the yarn shops. ;)
Still, if his dad saw the problems and even he admits it, his PTSD has to be bad. How awful.
