Just listening to McNerney interviewed by Rachel Maddow (subbing on "Ring of Fire"). He has a PhD in mathematics and says he's going to bring that kind of problem solving to the House of Representatives.

Pretty damned good interview.

RoF has PodCasting and will be repeated tomorrow. Recommended.

2. He should get together with Rush Holt (D-NJ) who has a Ph.D.
in Physics and really solve some serious problems. Rush has been working on the voting machine problem for awhile now. Thanks for the link.

4. Hopefully he will be SENATOR Rush Holt in two years from now
I'm hoping that Lautenberg retires, as he is getting on in years and isn't terribly popular in New Jersey. I expect Kean Jr. to run again, thinking that because 2008 won't be a wave year, he will have a chance. Holt would be perfect to run against Kean Jr., and he would make a great Senator.

3. He's a big time wind power engineer, I believe.
He is internationally regarded, if my senile memory serves me. Disclaimer* it fails to do so more & more frequently!
