2. Even money.
I think there's a good chance he'll at least do some preliminary polling to see if he has a chance in the primaries. What he'll find out is that the country's got a serious case of Bush fatigue.

3. Somewhere between zilch & nil.
2 years of investigations in DC & FL are gonna render the Bush name highly unpopular among the electorate.

4. I can't see him trying in '08. I think he's wait until '12 when the
memory of his brother's disasterous rule was a dimmer memory.

But who knows? That family is pretty much capable of anything. Especially if John McCain is the best the republicans can come up with. For some reason it seems like the bush** family really hates that man. They'll use him when it suits them, and shit all over him the rest of the time.

5. If ** had gone out popular, then they would have run Jeb, but now the Bu$h name
is not an asset.

11. Let's see now
His former business partners are South American gangsters.
His wife is a smuggler/tax cheat.
His daughter is in merry-go-rehab.
His son has been accused of everything from domestic violence, to public sex, to breaking and entering.

Great!

I think he's being groomed for 2012.

By then, they'll have had 6 years to blame all their bungling for the previous eight years on a Democrat.

24. How ya figure? If McCain/Jeb actually WON (not gonna happen) then
Jeb would be stuck as Veep unless he assassinated McCain or something. He couldn't run until 2016 at earliest.

22. Bush fatigue will doom his chances in the Republican primaries. His
best shot is to sit out this one and try in 2012 or 2016 if he really wants to run.

Which I would love, because all we'd have to do is accuse him of becoming the next Dick Cheney!

25. Absolutely no chance whatsoever
The American public won't forget the lying and misdeeds under the administration of the current Bush for a long, long time.

Junior's dog Barney would stand a better chance of running and winning than anybody with the last name of Bush could ever possibly imagine.

26. I'd think the Republican powers (and voters) will not want Jeb in 08, since
they know he will just stand for the same thing as GWB and lead to a huge Republican defeat.

27. I think it will be extremely high that he will run.....
after all, he has a good reputation in Florida! It is up to us that he not succeed in the US! We do not need another Bush assh**e in the White House! I fear that unless we raise total and absolute hell, that he will wind up there, in the White House!!!

Is that what we want for our country????

We must be awake and aware and be ready to fight to the death to prevent another Bush in the White House!!!!!

28. Not much of a chance in 2008, IMHO.
I don't see him on the Presidential ticket in 2008.

I think he would have to spend a term in the Senate and/or be a Presidential appointment to something with foreign policy credentials to get past the stygma of George W. Bush's petulent ignorance of the "real" world.

On the whole, I think that George W. Bush has caused any of his brothers's Presidential aspirations to wither to the point of nothingness.
