Bush Down In Polls: Only 31% Approv

Posted on 11/11/2006 7:06:57 PM PST by screw boll

Bush is going down in the polls...

----------------------------------------------
To: screw boll
Well, it looks like Bush is going over to the Democrats, so it makes no difference to me.
If Bush's numbers keep dropping, at this rate, he'll be out of office by January 2009.

-------------------------------------------------
To: screw boll
I love President Bush.

To: yldstrk
I'm with you. He's a wonderful man and a great President. He's not perfect, and I hate to see everyone dump on him right now.

----------------------------------------------------
To: screw boll
Does this mean we can write him off for 08?

He's down with us because he won't stand up and fight these internal enemies of America.

As the dems said. They said he didn't really win in 2000. This is only his first legit term. He could run again.

One of the MOST un-american citizens ever known ....

Much like Gay bashers : He hates the un-americanism in his own soul, and so he lashes outward against everyone else, projecting his own feelings to everyone around him ....

2. Oh, so because this
is *'s "first legit term" that means he can run again? Quite amazing! I think they all need to take a civics course. But that's if they pass the course on morals and values.

21. Yeah. I mean, it clearly has nothing to do with taking an oath of office ...
... for these people. It's only about 'winning' (or getting away with it) and nothing at all about something as trivial as being sworn in.

 Even in their attempts to wax facetious, they're amoral.

12. He wasn't elected in 2000, the Supreme Court chose him
so if you can only be elected to 2 terms in the White House, he could run. For Bush to declare this, he would have to declare marshall law, and at that point an election wouldn't really matter, we would need a full blown revolution.

20. The law says "serve 10 years", not "be elected". LBJ served from 11/63 on,
and that counted.

they think that means Bush can run for a third term...?

God, the stupidity.

14. Right. The whole stealing thing just doesn't bother them. So, that's the
new american ethic: Break any rule or law as long as you love fascists.

And the soldiers have to go to war to protect this great country based on stealing.

17. That was the entire thread when I was there. I can't post because
I did once and now I'm tombstoned.

Anyway, I skipped some typical drivel, a couple of "It's Clinton's faults" and "the rasmussen poll had him at 43" and that kind of stuff. But it ended with the statement about being able to run because he wasn't really elected the first time.

Hysterical.

Edited on Sat Nov-11-06 11:39 PM by Cleita
Would the GOP be that desperate? If so maybe we should put Jimmy Carter up against him, two one term presidents, do one last battle.

23. Amendment XXII
Can those Freepers REALLY be that ignorant??

Well, yeah! They're still wrong:

Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

So, in 2001 Bush started acting as president in place of the person elected President (Gore). He served more than two years. He was elected in 2004 (well, maybe....) so he STILL can't run again.
