Anyone watched "Babel"?
I saw the movie tonight. I believe it is Brad Pitt's best performance (at least to me). My hubby and I liked the movie a lot. It is out of the ordinary and something you would watch in IFC or SUNDANCE.

1. what's the story line?
Does it have anything to do with the Tower of Babel?

It is not related to the "Tower" itself but the fact that situations happen in different countries (Morocco, Japan, US, Mexico). It is about the "frustrated" inability to communicate and misunderstanding of different cultures.

3. it is not a light movie by any means
over 1/2 is sub titled...it runs from Mexico to morocco to japan...and it deals with some heavy story lines.

In other words, not a date movie--but it was extremely thought provoking!

4. Agreed. Loved it. It reminded me of Traffic a bit but I liked a lot more.

5. About 4 people walked out
during the movie. I think it might be a little cruel for some but I have seen worse. I personally liked it.
