1. I'm an ultral liberal capitalist imperialist monarchist
I want to be the benevolent dictator of the world. I will harness Walmart as my reward system and the fields as my re-education system. People will have total freedom to choose: agree with me or pick tomatoes.

3. I'm a liberal, and it's not a crime!
I don't know why or when it became 'bad' to be a liberal or why it's like a swear word to a lot of people. I've been a liberal since I started voting in 72, and I don't see what's wrong with it.

7. It's a pretty broad term, obviously.
After cutting my teeth here in GD and GLBT, I went to the Israel Palestine board and I have to say that I was/am shocked.

5. I'm a liberal, that means I don't believe in ideology
to solve problems. I have a philosophy that guides me, but I try to keep an open mind on issues.

11. If I'm 'liberal', but not 'strong liberal', does that mean....
I'm 'weak"?

Perhaps "moderately liberal" would be better?

16. Where does the universe and reality begin and end?
I think only of words as descriptors. Applying them as a way to put things on a shelf will mostly not work with the way I usally think. I think about things and how temporary they are; the word applied to them are as temporary as the idea they are applied to. Labels, flags, leaders, movements, ideologies are only as good as their ability to take that thing known as "uhm", also known as that constant contemplation to the next level. Darkness is the attraction point for all light. Putting the glove on the other hand is easy as turning it over or inside out and many choices or a few can be good or bad depending on your perspective. Being who we are is all we can be

14. Other.
I think that many people hold different beliefs on different issues. If I were to attempt to sum it up briefly, I would say that life has convinced me that "Yes!" is more powerful than "No!"

17. Labels, labels, labels...
What I am depends on who you ask and when you ask them. Generally, I'm pretty fucking liberal, but I'm also anti-authoritarian and somewhat of a capitalist, but I don't trust businesses to behave without being forced to. I could go on until we have a name for it, but it's not that important to me.

21. Its all in your perspective....Here in Mississippi, I've been called a socialist
and a commie for wanting basic justice. On DU I've been called a DLCer and a conservative apologist for suggesting restraint. I see myself as a moderate-liberal Democrat who's voted straight Democratic ticket on a presidential level since 1972. I 'm proud to belong to a party that includes Bernie Sanders and Jim Webb, Russ Feingold and Bill Nelson, Nancy Pelosi and Ike Skelton. It takes both wings to make a successful majority.
