I think I liked Harry Reid better before the election
When he was on fire! Now(on Face the Nation) he's back to, "we're all friends, you know, and bush is a nice friendly guy, and we'll all get along..." Aaargh!!

I think he's striking the right tone, for now.

6. The sad reality is that government is boring. Old farts sitting around talking is 80% of it.
The Republicans know how to make politics interesting, but they can't do it without half destroying the country. Democrats show up in Washington to work, debate, write laws, and analyze the effects of government policies. It's friggin' boring, but that's how you solve problems.

3. He should jump up on the table and scream "Chimpeeeech! Chimpeeeeeech!"
And when Russert tries to grab him off the table, Reid should go all Heston on his ass.

"Get yer stinkin' paws off me you damn dirty ape!"

10. Hahahahah! Trying to picture the soft spoken Senator
with his hair flying and fire shooting out of his eyes...

Oh, wait...I think I do remember him having these moments earlier in the year when he was beyond frustration with the pit bulls. I think he is capable of recreating those emotions...:)

7. Chill
You do realize that Americans want our government to work, don't you? He's projecting the image of cooperation that most people want to see. This in no way means he is giving up his steely resolve. It's called smart politics.

9. Reid has always been the "iron fist in a velvet glove" type.
Edited on Sun Nov-12-06 11:11 AM by rocknation
He likes to cultivate a low-key, nerdy, milquetoast-y image, but he hasn't got me fooled. He'll "chimpeach" when the time is right--don't worry, LOL!

11. he can't really come out and start saying what he really would like to say
they would only use it against him and he's way smarter than that. Going in with both barrels a blazing is exactly how a re:puke: would go about it. bide your time son bide you time

12. Still waters run deep
Reid knows what he is doing. The American people do not want an all out partisan war. Maybe democrats want that - but he now has to appeal to the nation as a whole.

He is a strategic thinker and he is pursuing a Democratic agenda that includes investigating the Executive branch..

13. What is he supposed to say? He won't be Senate leader until Jan. '07.
Why can't we give these new leaders just a few short weeks before we start bashing our own?
