You rememeber at the press conference Wednesday he said he did not announce the Gates nomination weeks before because he did not want to "distract from the election?"
Translation: "It was more important to me to follow Rove's strategy and maxaimize the chance for Repubublicans to win the election than to do what was best for our troops."

this should be mentioned time and time again that winning was more important than American lives. In fact it should start in January when the hearing on Iraq are held.
