11. I'm not against seeing these pricks brought to justice

It's what they deserve. But I don't see how "justice" can being done without any steps being taken to prevent this happening to future generations. How is it "justice" if we knowingly leave a weaker system of government to our children? That should be priority number one. Seeing these pricks in jail is a bonus.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't the republicans have a majority, couldn't they have passed all these things. Except confirm Bolton which the democrats threatened to filibuster. That's the "new rule" definition of bi-partisanship. You are only bi-partisan if you go along an vote for every radical idea they present. We should use the same definition.

10. If we run the government properly, it WILL be a campaign in some sense.

The task before us now is to demonstrate the value of Democratic leadership. Good legislation designed to make Americans' lives better -- we now have the power to put sensible, practical, Democrat-authored bills on the floor and call a vote.

That's half our campaign right there, if not more.

Show the voters that Democrats are on the job and working to make a difference, and all our 2008 candidates will benefit. Even if the RepublicOns, including the "president," do nothing but whine and moan and get in the way.

As for the question of investigating the Bush-Cheney administration... well, we can walk and chew gum at the same time, can't we?
