4. Lieberman's a Democrat. Deal with it. |
|
He's not my cup of tea, but we don't get to change reality just because we don't like it. I mean, not unless you're Republican.

7. The second he caucuses with the Democrats, he's a Democrat. |
|
It's not exactly a formal club or a genetic marker. You say you're a Dem, you're a Dem. Next week if you say you're a Republican, so be it. Lieberman's a Democrat for now. I think we gain more than we lose by keeping him. But it's all pretty subjective and superficial. Arguing over labels is dumb.

His last self description was as a "Independent Democrat".
IMHO, Lieberman will do as Lieberman wishes. He will vote with dems on issues he supports, vote with reps on issues he has in common with them.
Such as sending more troops to Iraq.
What good is a "Dem" that votes in harmony with the Repugs on important issues such as the Iraq war and rubberstamps bush's policys?
neo-con is as neo-con does.
Fortunately, I think that Joe is open to bids from both sides. All we have to do is kiss his rear... and he'll still vote to send more troops to iraq.

9. Is Socialist such a bad word. |
|
Isn't Mr. Sanders from Vermont a Socialist? Why list him as an "Independent"?
Peace.
