After watching McCain on Meet The Press today, I think any democrat can beat him
Hillary, Obama, Gore, Edwards....they can all beat him.

His Iraq war position of adding more troops and prolonging this god forsaken horror WILL NOT be politically tenable in 2008.

If he runs, he's done.

1. Let McCain and Lieberman call for a draft and they will be both done

2. To the extent that, come 2008...
...the press still chooses our presidents, McCain is a threat.

The few tens of thousands of dollars spent on paying their bar bills and buying them shrimp in 2000 may still turn out to generate the biggest ROI since Peter Minuit bought Manhattan.

They looooooves them some McCain.

3. I agree with you. He expended all of his "political capital" as a maverick
for absolutely nothing when he sweatily embraced the President and his policies. I say this based on what a fair amount of people who used to like McCain have said to me. They simply do not care jacks@#t about what he has to say anymore. These are members of my own family who used to tout McCain at every opportunity. If he's lost them - he's lost, period.
