Be careful at You Tube to have virus protection on...
Twice at the site today and twice yesterday, Norton popped up to say it had deleted the Downloader trojan, or virus. It is low risk, but it will fill your computer up with other downloads. I had it happen before Norton started catching it, and my Spyware Doctor cleared out huge files from it.

1. Do the same if you ever come into physical contact
with a repub. Who knows where they've been or what they've been in contact with. It has obviously caused mental deficiencies.

3. And Trojan Remover...
I have paid versions of it and of Spyware Doctor. Trojan Remover is set to scan at boot-up, and it is slow, but does a great job.

9. Trojan Remover is great
... and the guy who wrote it and updates it will write you back himself if you have a problem and send him an email. He used to be the resident Worm/Virus guru on the AOL Computer Virus message boards. Not sure if he still posts there. I left AOL long ago. He usually answers pretty quick and will try to help you through whatever it is.

10. Nigel...we used to communicate a lot.
He is/was from UK. He is great. Very helpful.

If I turn it off for boot up scan for very long....I end up with something on my computer that shouldn't be there.

4. I have dial-up, so I do not use YouTube,
but I also have a Mac. No maintenance. Liberating.

6. With dial-up I wait for 20 seconds to get 3 seconds of video.
Just irritating.

7. See the Computer Help forum for the ESSENTIAL security tools
you should have on your PC: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=242x1314

An ounce of prevention, a stitch in time, and all that.

Mac users may feel immune, but there are comparable tools for the MAC and the threats there are increasing.
