Wanted to donate, but wait, what is THIS??

Clicked on the donate page.
Went to the login for Paypal.
Although I have a Paypal account, I selected pay by credit card (since Paypal will cancel my account if I use my foreign address).
Filled out the information, scrolled to the bottom of the page, then saw this.....

I don't know how paypal works with overseas accounts, but I suspect they have encountered this before...

3. I tried out of curiousity

No problems and no ref. to Singapore wherever. I used the DU link : didn't just go into Paypal
via the address bar with www.etc Thought it would be a bit mean to just pull out then so donated again anyway.

I also can't grasp why there should be any issues for using different addresses unless the actual issue is directly associated with Singapore in some way. There was a time, for example, when banjo part suppliers in Taiwan couldn't be paid using a credit card, debit card only, but even that seems to have been resolved now.I use different addresses of necessity, whenever ebay sellers won't ship direct to the UK, by routing through one or other of my pals in the USA.

I've noticed gripes in the past about Paypal but must confess I've never had any significant problems across a 5 year period of using them.

4. Me neither - and I've done maybe 100 transactions with overseas buyers

All over Europe as well as Japan, Australia and South Korea. No problems.

5. I wouldn't worry unless it referred to the Monetary Authority of Nigeria.
