Bush's Wax Head Suffers $25,000 In Damages After Las Vegas Attack...
  Posted November 13, 2006 10:04 AM

President Bush's wax likeness is taking a thumpin' these days at Madame Tussaud's celebrity waxworks in Las Vegas.

Bush's head suffered about $25,000 in damages when a Madame Tussaud's visitor attacked it the day before last week's elections.

"No one's pushed one over before," said Jack Taylor, spokesman for the tourist attraction.

3. At first I thought they had done it intentionally to look like the pretzel
attack incident.

2. 25 grand?
That's more than I'd pay to own the real one. Oh wait, I forgot, I've already paid that much and more over the last 6 years.

4. You know I don't support vandalism of statues anywhere
but when governments and their media celebrate the destruction of statues of leaders and heroes in other countries, they give ideas to fanatics of all stripes.

5. $25,000 in damages? Couldn't they replace
the entire figure for that kind of money - not that it would be worth the effort. Wonder where they have the chimp displayed? Must be in the House of Horrors. That look on his face is too scary - like something out of "Night of the Living Dead." I'd prefer to see him in an orange jumpsuit behind bars.

All the world knows that's what he is.

7. Alright, so where's the picture of the wax replica head?
All I see is a photo of them gussying up the real Ass-Faced Weasel a la the opening credits of Fahrenheit 911.

that bush's wax figure has had more repairs to it than any in the museum. People like to punch it in the NOSE.

11. $25 thousand seems like an awful lot to pay to repair something
that isn't worth paying 2 cents to see.

They both have a weird, unnatural look.

15. I've been wondering that, too, but I'm going to have to go with it being the wax one...
...since it looks a litle too close to almost dignified to be the real one.

14. What they should do (the vandals)
Is go buy a bunch of the larger GI Joes (not the small action figures, but the ones that could take Barbie out on a dream date), and wrap a small cord around the Bush statue and run it down and connect it to the GI Joes' hands then tilt the statue as if the Joes are pulling it down like we did with Hussein's statue.

16. I remember a story shortly after the pretzel incident.....
The London museum of wax created George's figure to include a shiner and they put this HUGE pretzel in his hand. Do you suppose the size of the pretzel was a clue to our pretzeldent?

17. I like this comment on Huffpo
Wait 'til he dies. His grave (if it is accessible to the general public) will likely be one of the most pissed on spots in the world.

19. You've got that right.
US taxpayers will be stuck having to pay for 24/7 guard service to keep the throngs with full bladders at bay.

And the asshole has such a huge ego he'll want a big marble monument in Arlington. Count on it.
