14. other DUers noted that about the animatronic version of *
... at Disney World. It seems more youthful, and has a firmer jaw and less-beady eyes.

the original clay sculpture

the finished version (some subtle "improvements"to the jawline?) It actually looks more like one of my co-workers than Bush.

24. can't blame them -- who'd want to buy a new wig for *?
They probably just recycled one they already had in stock. Those things are expensive! And a more realistic version of Bush would only make the younger visitors cry and give them nightmares.

23. Odd. The sculpture looks like him, but the robot isn't even CLOSE.
I can't quite put my finger on just WHO that reminds me of,
but it certainly isn't Dubya.

13. I believe that's a pic from when they had to adjust its face
... after the "pretzel assault" a few years back.

8. That's eerie ...
... a wax figure that is so like the original, it keeps injuring itself. How many times have they had to pull a wax pretzel out if its throat?

It does have sort of that shell-shocked, deer-in-the-headlights expression, though.

Edit to add:

"Bush has needed repairs a number of times, mostly from having his nose pinched, Taylor added.

The back of Bush's head was damaged in the fall, "but he's been back on his feet for several days now," Taylor said.

His nose pinched? :D
