AZ Reps reaching out to dead liberals
http://www.azcentral.com/news/columns/articles/1113ruelas1113.html

Excerpt:
This election cycle, the Arizona Republican Party reached out to a heretofore underutilized pool of voters: former liberals who are now dead.

The party sent out two early-ballot request forms to Samuel Gompers, the union leader active during the late 1800s, and Robert Kennedy, the former U.S. Senator who was assassinated in 1968.

The forms were sent to a Phoenix address where neither man resides. Both currently live among the choir invisible.

3. From the Urban Dictionary
Pining for the fjords

Used to describe a dead person or animal as a way of convincing somebody that the corpse is not, in fact, dead.

First used by Michael Palin in reference to a dead Norweigan Blue parrot in the famous Monty Python Sketch.

"...And when I bought it not half an hour ago, you assured me that its lack of movement was due to it being tired and shagged out after a long squawk."

"It's probably pining for the fjords."

"Pining for the fjords, what kind of talk is that?"
