Jim Dean interviewed about Lamont, and the importance of his campaign.
Jim Dean is head of DFA, and he is a resident of Fairfield, CT. He really stood up for Lamont, as the DFA.

Lamont hailed as spark for Democrats

"Despite falling short of his goal, unsuccessful Senate candidate Ned Lamont endeared himself to a national following of war opponents who credited him with helping to inspire the Democratic resurgence of 2006.

"People owe this guy a lot," said Jim Dean, a Fairfield resident, the head of the pro-Lamont Democracy for America grass-roots liberal group, and brother of Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean. "I don't want to get too crazy about this, but he really was an integral part of what happened on Tuesday."

Dean called Lamont one of the first Democrats to "put the war in the hands of the voters."

"And I can't tell you how many candidates I've run into who firmed up their position and finally took a stand on it," Dean said. "There were so many whiffling and waffling."

And from my email from Lamont a few days ago:

""We worked our hearts out; it's ironic that our message of change did not carry the day in Connecticut but it helped spark a sea change in Congress," Lamont wrote. "Let's make sure they act boldly: bring our troops home from Iraq to the hero's welcome they deserve, invest in our kids, invest in clean energy, universal healthcare, a government that respects our constitution, our right to privacy, and shows respect for other nations and cultures."

3. I agree. CT had a real winner but they chose a whiny loser.

5. in a way it helped us win Congress
because Lieberman losing the Primary forced the media whores to report on it and how he lost because of Iraq.

now we just need to make sure those who refused to support Lamont don't use the loss to try to push their own selfish agenda.
