Olbermann going to cover the Freeper terraist!
Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 08:49 PM by Autonomy
edit: Chad Castagana wrote screeds and emails on the Internet... "because he did not like their liberal policies"... no mention of FR. Now he's slamming the NY Post. FBI is slamming the NY Post.

Drat, no mention of freak republic.

6. The NY Post should NOT get off scott free
for reporting/blabbing about this, while being told not to.

7. He said that one of the letters they observed him mailing
just before they arrested him was addressed to him as well.

This numbnuts told the FBI that he had sent 17 letters in total.

Mom should have booted him out of the basement long ago.

15. I didn't catch that...
so met me get this straight: LOOSER admits terraist activities on a Friday, but the FBI lets him make posts on freak republic until midnight, stuff some envelopes with powder, and mail them out the next day, THEN arrest him?

17. I don't see a real problem with that. It doesn't say /where/ he told them. If it was part of the
overall investigation, it would make sense that he didn't know who he was blabbing to, and the FBI would wait for physical evidence.

14. AOL has updated the story. It includes this paragraph now
that it didn't have before.

"The FBI said federal agents watched Castagana, of Los Angeles, walk from his home to a public mailbox Thursday and deposit several letters. One was allegedly addressed to someone previously targeted and contained the white powder."

16. Yes, I was wondering if I had heard this right myself so I rewound and...
...yes, that is what KO reported. I guess they questioned him and he admitted it and they chose not to arrest him on the spot for some reason (odd that) and came back the next day to pick him up.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe KO's producers got it wrong.

18. I'm going to have to go relisten to my tape.
Anyway, Keith said he got about five letters in all prior to this. Which makes the NY Post look even MORE like asshats for the time they reported once on ONE he got--making him sound like some sort of whiny terrified crybaby.

On the contrary--he's gotten several letters like this, and spoke of only ONE in public, ever. The others, he's remained silent about for MONTHS.

The NY Post, well, there's not enough I can say to condemn them.

19. Or, he admitted it to someone he was not aware was an FBI agent, who just
'happened' to be available for Chad to make the statement to.
