In the entire history of mankind elite and powerful men have always been able to control their respective populations, until America with it's promise of freedom and justice for all.
Graph it in excell if you will, 300 million US vs 6 billion world.
You are CEO of the world. These measly 300 million demand tons of your precious resources and give nothing but grief in return. You could make a much greater profit by say moving their technology and manufacturing abilities to more controllable populated areas, places where people are not so full of "themselves" and have this idea that they can "rise to the top". Ha, globocorp will sure show them.

you did not get it. The common meme is that Bush is incompetent. I go into a much darker, deeper sinister world. The mother of all worst case scenarios. The Bushes connections to the infamous Carslyle Group, a huge multinational conglomerate of corporate chronyism answerable to no one are cause for alarm. Every slip, every slide, the world confidence in the governement of the United States, the very degradation of America's good name sets the stage for the "private" sector to step in and "save the day". No Bush is far from "incompetent" he is Satanic. Yes, he is far too stupid to have pulled this off himself, he has "advisors" for that. With this in mind real the post one more time.
