Is this Baker thing a big farce? Are there really two warring factions within the Republican party (neocons/othercons), or
is this just staged drama?

Personally, I cannot believe this is happening. It's surreal. One minute, we're in absolute hell--with Junior demanding
that we "stay the course". The next minute, we're supposed to believe that Junior allowed his daddy and his daddy's friends
in the front door to take over the government.

There are so many questions.

I do not believe what I'm seeing. I cannot believe that Junior would allow this. He detests his father's advice. Two
days ago, Junior was hell bent on pressing on. We're supposed to believe that Junior had an epiphany and handed over the West-Wing
keys to Daddy and Company?

What happened to change his mind?

Is Bush responding to Baker? If so, that could explain Cheney's expression. He may be smiling at Bush's response or questions to Baker. Is Baker responding to some smart alec question by Bush? Did Bush put Baker on the spot? Hard to say what is happening here.

What bothers me is that if anyone in the room was REALLY trying to accomplish something he(there's no she that I can see) would be hovering over a notepad with pen in hand. Who is writing something down in this photo? Wow!

I've never attended a "working" meeting without my writing instrument working furiously!

To anybody who thinks the "Baker-bot" commission is going to come up with a solution for the debacle in Iraq--you've been had! I'm not at all optimistic about this group's recommendations. The main goal is to get dubya out still breathing so Jeb can have a chance!
