I remember in 1999 b.b. (before bush), gas was less than $1. If you inflate the price exorbitantly, say to $3 pg from $1, then decrease the price unsubstantially, to say $2.50, people will think it is low. Which is only true in that $2.50 is cheap relative to $3 but not cheap relative to $1.
It only costs $5 to get a barrel of oil out of the ground but that same barrel retails for (what now?) $60 or so. Who owns a lot of oil? Oh yeah, Bushco. Bastards.
