Microsoft ups stakes in browser war: Unleashes improved Firefox
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/11/14/ms_firefox/

The open source community is in a state of shock this morning at the news that Microsoft has released a version of popular browser Firefox.

The audacious move, which pretty well guarantees Redmond control of the entire browser market, will be received with dismay among those who previously believed that the might of Bill Gates' chequebook could, and should, be resisted.

9. NSS
<Tongue in cheek> Disappointed? Since those special features for sufferers of lateral brachial dismorphia (hypertrophy of one arm (usually the dominant one)) aren't going to be available after all?

5. Here's where you can download it
http://www.msfirefox.com/microsoft-firefox/index.html

Check out it's RSS feature: "RSS is a relatively new algorithmic technology fueled by the continued hot desires of many online web users. Accessed by an illuminating an icon on the toolbar - a single click allows you to view and optionally download anything that resembles a tit, a boob or a breast - rendered directly in the browser with speeds up to 10 times faster than the competition. Real Simple Sex can scan and arrange explicit images/pictures in order of quality and effectively filters out irrelevant content such as balloons or soccer balls."

6. Thanks for posting
I didn't realize Google and Yahoo were fraudulent sites. There's a really neat video at the MSFirefox-Pro site linked to in the article. Gosh, I love Microsoft so much I could almost burst. :loveya:

7. Got a good chuckle at the "About Us" Tab...
As a monopoly, and as individuals, we value integrity, honesty, openness, personal excellence, constructive self-criticism, continual self-improvement, and mutual respect. We are committed to our customers and partners and have a passion for technology.

We provide tools for developing Microsoft standards content:
  • Microsoft offers the best implementation of its web standards. Period.

  • By acquiring competitors left, right and center, we offer to to roll a plethora of core technologies into one - removing unnecessary compatibility issues and risks.

  • We utilize scare tactics such as filing lawsuits against companies who we deem as second rate or are providing low-key products to our more deserving users. Such techniques has effectively stabilized core security kernels within technologies such as Microsoft Windows.

(BTW - Firefox and the Firefox logo are trademarks of the Mozilla foundation. Such a move by MS would be highly illegal.)
