Bush Expects Our Troops To Continue Dying In Iraq So That He Can Keep Up Appearances
George W. Bush has lost the war in Iraq and now expects our military people to
continue dying there so that he can avoid being known as the president who led
us to defeat.

George W. Bush - the worst military leader this country has ever produced - has
all but guaranteed that we will not be able to get out of his debacle in Iraq with
anything even remotely suggesting victory.

So why is he keeping our military there?

Easy. He's keeping up appearances. If Bush were to pull our troops out his defeat
there would become something all the world would regard as official. And for this
vain and image-obsessed president that is just not an option. George W. Bush
would rather leave our troops in harm's way than be forced to face up to the fact
that he got us into a war he could not win. He has only one priority now, and that
is to avoid the eternal ignominy of the tag "war loser."

Our troops are now dying in Iraq so that Bush can save face.

2. exactly
If we withdraw, he can't claim to be moving toward some victory. All of the 'progress' that he touts will become an obvious lie.

good post!

4. Bush has been a loser all his life, each time finding a way to
fail on a larger and larger stage. Somehow or other ol' Georgie seemed to think having more and more eyes watching him would insure success or should each new adventure happen to turn out a winner, the glow of that singular victory would wash out a lifetime of loss.

This is about the biggest stage there is. When he speaks of winning or losing in Iraq he is not talking about the country's losing or the military's but his own.
