The Witch beats Michael Moore to the punch

Michael Moore's "A Liberal's Pledge to Disheartened Conservatives" that was emailed to me this morning (and posted by others here at DU) sounded eerily familiar.

That's because The Witch posted her own "Dear Dismayed Conservatives" almost a week ago, on Wednesday.

Great minds may think alike, but some think faster.

1. I like "The Witch's" post better

it is more about ideals of democracy, whereas Moore wants to say that liberal policies are good for conservatives too. They are, but Moore is being a smarta$$ about it. His letter is more likely to pi$$ conservatives off.

Maybe that's what DUers will like about it.

Thank's for pointing the earlier thread out. I had not seen it. Also I was unaware of a DUer named "The Witch" so I found your OP to be somewhat confusing. I'm thinking "Who is the witch? Who is he calling a witch? Ann Coulter? Condi? Babbs Bush?"

NIGYYSOB -- for those of you who missed the Humanisty Psychology Movement of the 1970s and 80s:

"Now I Got You, You Son Of a Bitch" -- In other words, something said to get back at someone else, however nicely stated it may be.

The Witch's came from the heart and was honest, straight up. Michael Moore's has a "DIG" in it -- as one poster said, it 'twists the knife'.

I know we all want to STICK it to them but that is part of the problem, isn't it? We do need JUSTICE -- accountability for breaking the law -- but do we really need vengeance? I hope not.

... but when they think alike in exactly the same format, using almost the same words verbatim, it's a little more than suspect.

18. It wouldn't be the first time Moore didn't give credit to someone. In Farenheight 911

there is a segment on the American soldiers' usage of heavy metal to get revved up for bombing missions in the ME. Moore never mentions in the film that the footage was shot by an Australian journalist and was part of an Australian documentary. Because Moore never mentions it, one gets the impression that he himself shot the footage.
