Feingold on the Lame Duck Session danger |
|
Very good read. Feingold is once again the point man on how to combat the BushCo's continuing agenda. Don't count them out yet folks. They can still do a lot of damage. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sen-russ-feingold/the-dangerous-lame-duck_b_34076.html

2. I've been worried about that too |
|
I hope that the fear of retaliation will reign them in a bit, but for President Bush and Karl Rove, this is their best and possibly last opportunity to get some of their damaging legislation through. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

3. I this line from a poster who responded to Russ's blog - |
|
. . . 'Republicans will, in all likelihood, pull the ol' "Flaming Sack of Shit on the Front Porch" prank as their final act before relinquishing control of Congress.'
I hope the Democrats have a plan for this, and a plan B & plan C.

6. Off-topic, but the ol' "Flaming Sack of Shit on the Front Porch" prank killed a family of 5 or 6 |
|
in OKC a few years back. They lived in a high-crime area, and they were preparing for a move. With the front door area on fire, bars on the windows and a garage stuffed with moving boxes, and, IIRC, one of the parents in a wheelchair, they were unable to escape the fire. Very very sad.
The fire seemed to have started in a bag (or perhaps a small box) on the front porch, so investigators believed it was the "Flaming Sack" routine. An 18 year-old neighbor was heavily questioned by police, but I don't think they were able to pin it on her.
At any rate, I certainly wouldn't put it past the Repugs to pull all kinds of nasty shit in the next month-and-a-half.

"Just remember that Bush might be the most dangerous when backed into a corner. Like a trapped chimp, he might lash out."Text
Well, here we are. We are being handed the keys to Congress, but can we lock the chimp in his cage before he goes berserk? Before all the investigation in the US and the Hague he will resign, but in the next few weeks we will be witness to a man reaching his breaking point.
for all the PETA people out there, I do not condone caging any animal except * (after being found guilty, of course).

7. He's already started with the Bolton renomination.. |
|
He put it in on the first opportunity he could. I'm also worried about the "bully backed into a corner" syndrome. BushCo is very ruthless to get their agenda through and right now the future isn't too bright for them.

8. Well, remember in 1998 ... |
|
Repukes thought they were going to make great gains in the midterm elections and coast to an easy "impeachment" vote ...
The election came and went, and the Repukes were rubbing their sore bottoms from where they were spanked (and lost seats in the House when they expected to gain), and they ran back into session and had an emergency vote to get an impeachment going before they were run out ...
So, I'm expecting a lot of similar action going on this round ...
