could our victories in the house & senate be part of a larger trap?

MIHOP'ers and LIHOP'ers might especially want to take notice...

Now that we control the legislature, and will most likely begin some type of phased troop reduction- any 'very bad things' that result could well be hung around our necks- so...what if...

in mid-late 2007 another of poppy's Operation Northwoods-type attacks were to occur on an American city- maybe even a heavily Democratic one...say a suitcase nuke that can be traced to a private boat coming thru the great lakes(think bruce willis in "The Jackal") and detonated on chicago's lakefront, or on the river in front of the new trump tower...

what kind of effect would something like that have on the electorate in 2008?

2. Once again I am led to remember John Oliver's bit

on The Daily Show a few days ago where he said that the Dems were scared to death after their victory because it was too easy! Rove must be up to something.

Stewart: What are they going to do about this?

Oliver: Well they have devised a plan. The Democrats will lock arms in a circle with their backs facing inward. This way Rove can't sneak up on them. If someone has to use the toilet, then they all shuffle to the bathroom as a group. Unwieldy? Yes, but very safe.

4. I would say "no effect"

If Chicago is "nuked", there will not be an election in 2008. The federal governemnt will decalre marshall law, citizens will be imprisoned, and we will tactically nuke three to nine targets in the middle east. And once the smoke clears, we will somehow be at war with China. Also-most of the midwests drinking water will be contaminated.

A terrorist attack under this administration would effectively end our democracy. I'm not a MIHOP or LIHOP guy, but I have no doubt that an attack of that magnitude would fundamentally alter all of our daily lives, create chaos(obviously), and perpetuate endless war.

Let's see if I got this right. The Repugs purposely lose the congress so that they can set off a nuke in Chicago so that they can win back the congress they lost.

Kind of like divorcing my wife, setting her up with a guy who beats up women, so she'll remarry me.
