While driving home last night, I was flipping through the stations and came across Hammity. He was going through a litany of reasons how the Democrats were going overboard. Among other things, he brought up raising the minimum wage, making health care affordable for all Americans, and bringing home the troops from Iraq. It was almost surreal. The way he was listing these and other items on our agenda, I'm sitting there thinking "and your problem is?"

7. last week at the end of Brian Assman's rantfest |

on SF right wing hate radio, he was screaming at the top of his lungs to some rational progressive caller. it went something along the lines of YOU MARXIST FASCIST! DON'T YOU COME NEAR THIS BUILDING! I WILL HAVE YOU ARRESTED!
hahahaha... i guess he's got the inside line to that top-level FOX SECURITY that Bildo was ranting about in some threats earlier in the year.
but i mean really, the Assman was melting down. they've got nuthin' left.
on edit: how could i forget the "marxist" part? that was almost the best part right there!
on second edit: it was oddly reminiscent of Corky St. Clair's "I HATE YOU AND I HATE YOUR ASS FACE" rant. :-)

9. Wow - talk about irony |

A fascist screaming at a caller, calling him a fascist, and threatening to have him arrested.
I am thoroughly enjoying this right-wing meltdown.

He's nothing more than a partisan hack. I'd like nothing better than to wipe that smug grin off of his face. Ringo

6. That's what the people wanted |
|
Wages are stagnant, sick people can't get the care they need because they can't afford it and the troops need to come home because Iraq is a lost cause. Hannity is a prime example of why Republicans got voted out.

13. Hannity wouldn't know what to do on minimum wage |
|
He'd be the first in line demanding his "fair share". You see, the rules apply to everyone else, not them.

11. Hannity needs to talk to someone other than his colleagues. |

Our eldest decided to take a year off from college to figure out what he wants to do with himself. He's in good academic standing -- just a tad burned out when it comes to taking classes.
He had some money saved, so he rented a small apartment (about $350 per month -- typical for a college town). He got a job making pizzas for minimum wage. Even working 40 hours per week, he was not taking home enough money to pay for the apartment, pay for his food, gas, utilities, etc. We still pay all his insurance (car, health), but he had to use his savings simply to make ends meet.
A single guy cannot live on minimum wage. How the hell is a family supposed to?
