Remember how the right howled at the comment "two for the price of one"?
when Clinton said it?

I'm sure he said it as a compliment to his highly intelligent and energetic wife. He meant it as a gesture to her competence and to encourage the people to challenge her. She made the statement about "not wanting to stay home and bake cookies". It was interpreted (by the right) as a slam on "family values", but it was just an acceptance on her part, of the new DUTIES she would be assuming as first lady.

Both of these off-the-cuff comments were intended as positives, and yet they were ballyhooed as somehow subversive. They were used as "signals" that the Clintons were somehow going to TAKE OVER .

And yet...

We now how a supposedly twice-elected president who has f'ed things up so badly (and gotten a fair amount of people KILLED in the process) reaching out to his dear old daddy to bail him out.

We do not have a "two-fer" here..or even a "trifecta".. We have a whole "phantom administration" being slowly resurrected and put back in charge..

We have a coup in progress.

Can we assume that it's just a benign offer of "help"?

I think not.

After all, what DO we know about those administrations Poppy ran..all those years ago? Do we know their Oopsies? of course not, because the number one issue of the day when *² was installed, was to lock away those papers..the proof of what they did and when they did it..and to whom they did it.

Remember the phrase "Elections have consequences"?

The election that tossed GHWB out, pretty much said that we did NOT want him , OR his policies, and yet he never really "went away", and now he's back in an even BIGGER way, because we did not elect him this time, and there's no way we can get rid of him.

He rode in from Texas, and brought his ancient posse with him..

Lord help us all..

4. So what is this "Phantom administration" going to do
now that they have official jobs to "fix" bush's disastrous reign? Bush made sure there would be no searching through his dad's papers, and others. Secret ya' know.

If we didn't have the prospect of a Democratic controlled Congress we would definitely be in deeper trouble than we already are. Although, maybe Daddy is stepping in to keep Georgie from Really going off the deep end!? Iran for one.
