FLORDIA DEM TO CHALLENGE ELECTION RESULTS.
http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewPolitics.asp?Page=/Politics/archive/200611/POL20061114b.html

(CNSNews.com) - A Florida Democrat says he won't concede defeat in his race to unseat Republican Rep. Tom Feeney "until every vote is actually counted."

Clint Curtis said he is considering a legal challenge to the election results: "In this election, the results did not match the Zogby pre-election poll, our internal VoteNow2006.net polling, or our exit polling," Curtis explained.

"These anomalies need to be investigated and cleared up, not just in my race but for every district where the count just doesn't add up."

3. Oh man
If they were stupid enough to mess with votes in a race Clint Curtis is involved with, they have expanded the definition of stupid into bold new horizons.

7. Here ya go
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Curtis

Vote-rigging allegations

Specifically Curtis alleged that:

At the behest of Rep. Tom Feeney, in September 2000, he was asked to write a program for a touchscreen voting machine that would make it possible to change the results of an election undetectably. This technology, explained Curtis, could also be used in any electronic tabulation machine or scanner. Curtis assumed initially that this effort was aimed at detecting Democratic fraud, but later learned that it was intended to benefit the Republican Party.

West Palm Beach was named as an intended target, but used punched card ballots in the 2000 elections. Indeed, West Palm Beach was famous for the "hanging chad" recounts of that election.

Curtis explained that the software could be used in any electronic tabulation machine or scanner. He spoke about this to the Conyers Voting Forum, after Conyers left the forum and turned over the dais on 2004-12-13

9. I believe he wants to tell Congress about being asked to write vote-stealing
software while he was a Republican tech guy. I think this is "THE" Clint Curtis. He has a story to tell, and he's a threat.

37. Clint has a story to tell all right.
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 07:11 PM by petgoat
After he was asked to write the vote-switching software, Clint
left that company. He went for work for the Florida DOT and
soon found that his former employers, Yang Enterprises, were
over-billing the DOT. This brought him into contact with the
office of the Inspector General of the DOT and in IG investigator
names Raymond Lemme, who soon wound up dead in a Georgia motel
room.

There are a number of peculiarities about Mr. Lemme's alleged
suicide.

Brad Friedman has been on the case all along. http://www.bradblog.com/?p=3024

The first time I saw Clint Curtis was on C-Span when he was the last
public commenter at the Conyers forum about election irregularities,
and he was babbling about contacting the CIA and the FBI, and I wrote him
off as a nut. When I found out about the Lemme story I saw he had good
reason to be a bit... tense.

Check out demopedia on Clint: http://demopedia.democraticunderground.com/index.php/Clinton_Curtis

Check out Curtis's testimony before a later Conyers forum in Ohio, where he
says he can write software modules in vote tabulators that will switch votes,
communicate with reporting terminals and switch their votes, and then
erase themselves from memory.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8112825559202389150

He's written a book about his experiences:

it was this one. They can't afford to have Clint Curtis making speeches in Congress. I would have thought they'd do anything to keep him out of Congress.

So, maybe Curtis should file a lawsuit and let's see what comes out in the wash.

26. the race wasn't close
From the article:

"The Feeney-Curtis race wasn't exactly close: With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Feeney had 58 percent (123,557 votes) to Curtis's 42 percent (89,672)."

Is this guy (Curtis) credible? Why would the Republican need to cheat in a race he won by over 20k votes?

Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 06:44 PM by Faye
not even to win, but to expose any fraud. he is the Clint Curtis who gave sworn testimony in front of Demoratic House Members that he was asked BY FEENEY a few years back when he worked for a software company, to create software that would change the vote count in electronic voting machines.
this is extremely interesting to any who followed the 2004 election fraud investigations. Clint Curtis indirectly actually created the software (or however you want to call it) that flips the vote counts. he did it back then because it was his job.....

(ps if you want more info please someone else post info for this DU member, i'm eating and i'm starving!!)

48. Did anyone even do exits for this race?
I did a quick google and could only find a zogby poll from Oct 23:

Feeney - 45%
Curtis - 43
Other - 2
Not sure - 10

The race for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 24th District is a virtual toss-up. Incumbent Tom Feeney holds the slimmest of leads over challenger Clint Curtis, 45% to 43%, with one in ten (10%) undecided.

Each candidate leads big among his own party's members, but Curtis leads among independents, 48% to 37%.
