Dems Should Withdraw Unanimous Consent to End of Term (slow it down).
Given that the Republicans are hell bent on ramming everything they can up America's collective asses, we as Dems should force to SLOW the Senate down.

Democrats should say, "The American People have spoken, so we are going to enforce all rules of the Senate to make sure that the will of the people is not squandered in the dead of night"

Hear is a list of things that are currently under unanimous consent.
- Senate Rules state all bills must be read OUT LOUD before debate, this is waved
- Senate Allows voice votes, Senate rules require all votes be recorded. (this one kills Senators, because to close for the night has to be voted for, and this means they have to get out of bed)

There are a bunch more, these are the ones I know off the top of my head

U.S. Senate: Reference Glossary

unanimous consent - A Senator may request unanimous consent on the floor to set aside a specified rule of procedure so as to expedite proceedings. If no Senator objects, the Senate permits the action, but if any one Senator objects, the request is rejected. Unanimous consent requests with only immediate effects are routinely granted, but ones affecting the floor schedule, the conditions of considering a bill or other business, or the rights of other Senators, are normally not offered, or a floor leader will object to it, until all Senators concerned have had an opportunity to inform the leaders that they find it acceptable.

1. Let's have the democrats call of immediately putting the U.S. Federal
...Reserve Bank into bankruptcy, that would not only slow all republican initiatives down, but stop them in their tracks. The Federal Reserve system is insolvent due to the over $60 trillion in financial derivative paper assets which is totally worthless, so get rid of it! In its place have the Federal Government Treasury once again exercise its constitutional monopoly to be the sole entity who creates money and put into play a massive reconstruction throughout the country of rebuilding national infrastructure assets, i.e. national high-speed rail, nuclear power plants using gas cooled thorium reactors, hydrogen powered automobiles, replacement of seaways, etc.

This would be a long term program over the next 30 to 50 years, which democrats know how to do because they did it under FDR's presidency during the depression. Finance of the program would come from long term international trade agreement exchanges for raw materials, natural resources and labor and long term low fixed interest federal backed loans. The effect would be the reverse of the present free-trade system with the conversion of U.S. employment back into production skilled employment and away from unskilled low-paid service employment.

We should waste no time with appeasement of the republican lame-duck congress, but get immediately into emergency national recovery.

2. Well, That's Certainly a Radical Idea
and it would bring things to a screeching halt. Are you sure you want to do that?

5. Get rid of monetary policy and speculation in the hands of private banks
...and give that control back to the Federal Government which is the only entity in the U.S. that has the constitutional right to create money

4. Prototypes are in test the only thing holding back production
...is a continuous supply of hydrogen which 800MGW thorium gas cooled reactors could produce an abundance of. Also would solve the fresh water needs of the country through massive ocean desalinization processes in the same reactors.
