Poll question: Hypothetical: If Dean were able to run in '08 would you consider him? |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 06:43 PM by WI_DEM
Again I stress it is hypothetical (like all presidential polls at this time are) and Dean has committed himself to the DNC through 2008, but if he were available and knowing all you know about him would he be someone who you would consider for the 2008 presidential nomination?

1. No - for only one reason. |
|
I don't think he can flip any Bush states.
I love him just where he is: :loveya:

3. I'd vote for him on the basis of strategy. |
|
He proved to be a singularly smart person, willing to empower Democrats even in "hopeless" places. Who knows, maybe his fifty state strategy will actually change things here in Florida.

I wanted him in 2004. By 2008, he'll have even more experience successfully cat-herding.

But I agree with the posters who say we need him where he is.
We do.
Dean Rocks!

Governor Dean speaks the truth. There aren't many inside the beltway that even know what that means, let alone do it.

I'm english. Having said that I'd go for Barack Obama given the opportunity. He's seemingly as clean as a whistle with oodles of charisma.

No, I would not want to nominate anyone from the Northeast. I don't think that anyone from Vermont, Mass., Rhode Island, Conn., or Maine would win the general election. I think that we need to pick someone who has a chance to win the whole thing.
BTW, I like the 50 state strategy. Why should we concede any state to the Republicans. Oklahoma has a democratic govenor. Are you saying that is a bad thing?
