A distinct difference between Skinner and RimJob.....
When a couple of errant posters implied a threat against the President, Skinner was above board and cooperated fully with the Secret Service. He then posted the event for everyone to see and to ensure DU community that this forum was above reproach. Meanwhile, RimJob, to the best of my knowledge, has yet to acknowledge that his BullshitBBS was used by a terrorist and he continues to allow these sick, twisted individuals to wallow in the slime of their hatred.

It seems as this further validates the trend: Democrats are men and women of honor and integrity whilst RepubliCONS are detestable, fearful, hate-filled cowards.

2. True. It also proves that Skinner is a true, responsible admin in
the Democratic mold. He is for the people, even those aren't well liked. Whereas, that other admin, is simply for his party of deluded individuals.

Hopefully, what little of FreeRepublics sensible posters will leave that site for greener pastures, and no I do not mean, Little Green Footballs.

3. And as far as we know, Skinner doesn't own a luxury RV :-)
The fund drives actually go toward funding site improvements.

FR uses decade-plus-old software that is NEVER updated or improved, yet RimJob is constantly asking for tens of thousands to keep FR up and running. Who knows though, maybe RimJob thought ahead and put some cash into a legal defense fund. Maybe... but I think that's giving him too much credit.

5. A distinct difference between DU and Free Republic.....
Freepers issue death threats against Democrats nearly every single day.

Just spend a couple of hours clicking on posts over there. The threats don't last long.

If RimJob suspended every threat related account, Free Republic would be a lonely place. And he'd have to find a job.

10. PLUS, those 2 disruptors had *already* been banned even before
the Secret Service wanted information on them.

How's that for excellent Modding?

Thanks Mods for throwing out the over-the-top disruptors when they start their crap. :hi:

And thanks Skinner for running such a great, above-board, site.

11. the guys who run this site are the best on the net...
the stormfront won`t allow anything like what happened on freeperland. interesting- the two largest polar opposite sites on the net deletes all threating posts but not free republic.
little green foot balls also had a visit from the fbi about a post they did not take down...who started lgf? the guy that runs "pajama media"

just what does rimmie boy do with all the money he takes in? it certainly isn`t on software. i get the feeling he`s running that site from his bedroom

13. It's a nickname for FR's owner/admin
His name is Jim Robson, and he goes by the handle "JimRob" on FR, but many DUers transmorgify that to "RimJob."

17. Oh, thanks. I don't go there
not to Faux, not to Drudge... I rely on reports on DU but will never give them my "click" so they think that they are popular.. even get more money for ads, if they sell any.

19. Can we replace "republicons" with "neocons"?
Many in the repub arena repudiate the neocon angles - - and they are looking our way instead. We don't need to tie them in to the neocon philosophy unless they are actually THERE, kwim? We won this election by many Repubs voting to give us a try and throwing off the neocon stranglehold - - can we maybe separate the "misguided but okayish" repubs from the "crazy and paranoid" neocons?

If we can focus this on neos, I am fully in support of "detestable, fearful, hate-filled cowards" :)

Some of the guys there are an absolute riot - they think Olbermann was complimenting them, and failed to recognize the sarcasm that was directed their way.
