Will someone please tell me what is the Republicans' plan for Iraq?
Because all I've been hearing lately is how the Democrats have no plan for Iraq, so I figured that the Republicans must have some kind of plan, considering it's been more than three years since they invaded that country.

I guess I just haven't been paying attention because I have yet to hear a decent plan from the Republicans about Iraq.

1. I would like to hear it too. What plan is it that Republicans have?
Nobody seems to be asking them.

2. The Repugs have had 3 plus year to formulate a plan
even after toppling Saddam....they were to busy giving out War Profiteering contracts to their Repug friends companies...

There was never a plan...and there was never a plan to have a plan....

22. Insane plans for insane minds, because stay the course means
...perpetual war and that will lead to the destruction of the United States, our constitution and our status of world moral leadership.

4. Double or nothing..
.... keep gambling with the lives of our troops hoping for some sort of "victory".

Gambling is easy with someone else's money/lives. George is into easy, that's really all he knows.

5. Start A War looking for WMD, Overthrow a backstabbing friend,
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 11:09 PM by AIJ Alom
Start a fertile breeding ground for terrorists so the military industrial complex will no longer have to beg for work, get our troops bogged down in a quagmire, waste billions of dollars geared toward reconstruction on cronies and party supporters in need of work. Mission accomplished.

Fact of the matter is Republicans have already played out their plan to disastrous results and now it is up to us to clean up "the Debacle in the Desert".

7. Get used to it. The media is about to magically rediscover
aggressive questioning and investigative reporting. Now that they don't have to do it to Republicans.

14. No, No, No, it is that we do not leave until victory or the job is done. The trouble
is that nobody seems to know what "victory" is or how they will know when the job is done.

15. name of the game is, not allowing "them" get control of the oil - plain & simple
The oil in the ground must be US. controlled otherwise the "terrorists" will own it, plus the US. looks like total failures after they lose 2853 MILITARY DEATHS with 21007 maimed and wounded.

The Bush Iraq war was a total failure in leadership.

16. Something having to do with permanent bases and remaking
the middle east I believe. They call it the war on terrorism or fighting over there or something.

17. They are building permanent bases...sound familiar? They plan to stay as long as the US treasury
Iraqi oil money will sustain them. Hopefully, they will be on to Iran soon, and then Syria, and then Egypt, the prize.

18. I forget what the spin is on this
is it "stay the course" or "we have a plan, but it's constantly changing and we can't tell you" or is it "we'll stand down when they stand up" or is it "let those next f*ckers figure this one out"? Or is it just to change the subject and ask if you'd rather be blown up with a dirty bomb in the subway?

19. Their plan is very simple -
stretch everything out and fumble around doing essentially nothing for the next 2 years until they get voted out, then blame the Dems for not cleaning it all up in the first week after they take office. And keep blaming the Dems for the next 30 years, like they are blaming Carter now.

Slimy bastards, every one of them.

20. 3 years in and the closest they had to a "plan"
Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 12:55 AM by leftofthedial
was "stay the course" (which is actually a slogan, not a plan)

before that they had "stand down when the Iraqis stand up" (also a slogan, not a plan)

Now their "plan" is to await Consiglieri Baker's decision

Why Democrats don't hammer this home every time the "Democrats have no plan" meme is puked up, I don't know . . .

21. KIll more Iraqis, spend more taxpayer dollars, maim and kill more US soldiers,
try to steal as much oil as possible, accept more bribes from lobbyists to give contracts to Halliburton, Bechtel, and various weapons manufacturers, and accept more blow jobs from Jeff Gannon, Moonbat Hannity, Pervert O'Reilly, Lil Weenie Oinker Rash Limpballs, et al.

... and so do I.
