Go read Time's latest issue - - The Janjaweed atrocities are spreading. Isn't it time we stood up to this genocide and got some UN Peacekeepers over there?????

This unchecked brutality is a huge black eye to all of us watching on the sidelines.

4. When some money can be made from it.
Other than that, who gives a fuck?

Sadly, that's the attitude of the ruling people.

5. They won't let the UN Peacekeepers in... or let any aid groups in, or
ANYONE who wants to help.

So it's not a question of inaction, per se... it's a question of who can do what when no one is cooperating. Very, very very tough situation.

6. As both sides in the Darfur conflict are primarily Muslims

8. I believe the UN will act there as they did in Bosnia.
We have to trust that they're doing everything they can. We have no reason not to.

7. Let the UN handle it. I for one have no desire to get America into yet another foreign entanglement
and, furthermore, after our last African debacle, I would think we would have learned our lesson.
