To cancel that meme, get patriarchists to stop making big messes.

I'm reminded of a hearing, back in the Reagan era if not earlier, when some spokescreep from a major chemical corporation was testifying before a congressional committee. The way I remember the story, congresswoman Pat Schroeder asked what the company proposed to do about cleaning up hazardous waste, and the executive just said that they'd never given it a moment's thought. Schroeder apparently said (as an aside, but it got picked up by the microphone), "Yeah, and I bet you don't pick up your own socks either."

The point is that women have to take on these extra responsibilities because men so blatantly drop them.

P.S. I'm a guy, but I pick up my own socks. I have occasionally even picked up Mrs. Squeech's socks.
