RAW STORY
Published: Wednesday November 15, 2006

Mississippi's Trent Lott has won the #2 position in GOP Senate leadership this morning.

MSNBC reports that Lott won by only one vote over Tennesse's Senator Lamar Alexander.

On Wednesday night, a confident Lott told CNN that he had enough votes to win.

"It's like herding cats, you know?," Lott said.

1. How does Trent Lott sleep at night, knowing he's...
...the minority leader, or whip? Has to give him the vapors for him to think himself as a minority.

2. GREAT NEWS!
With Mel Martinez heading the RNC, I think I must really face the realization that G-d is on the side of the Democrats.

They'll shoot themselves in the foot, many times over.

5. Trent Lott: Poster Child for Segregationist Nostalgia...
We feel your pain, Trent! Oh, if only your hero Strom Thurmond had been elected Prez in '48 -- then maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't have seen all the trouble caused by those troublemaking, uppity negroes -- y'know, like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama and Harold Ford Jr. ...

Trent Lott is a big fat early Festivus gift to the Democrats.
