George Clooney Named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive
WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2006 07:45AM EST

George Clooney has been named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive for 2006 – joining his pal Pitt as a two-time honoree.

"Brad's going to be upset," the 45-year-old Oscar winner tells PEOPLE in its special issue.

Then again, after the year Clooney's had, his buddy will understand. Hollywood's consummate gentleman kicked things off with an Academy Award (winning Best Supporting Actor for Syriana,) and Clooney further cemented his reputation for social activism, working on behalf of causes to help the troubled Darfur region of Sudan.

May I be the first to say, my name is TC, and I approve of this message.

And, his politics, compassion, sense of humor, and generosity are the most attractive things about him!

Really.

Honest.

I swear!

Oh, all right.... They make him even MORE attractive?

3. What is there left to say? GC is babelicious.
A client of mine used to stalk him when he did ER. He'd come to Chicago to shoot exteriors, and she had a posse of pals who'd call her with sightings.

She had several really great photos taken with him. One became a Walgreens photo Christmas card which read: "Happy Holidays from Sue & George".

THAT was funny.

5. this George makes me all fuzzy warm feeling.
I remember him from way back on Roseanne - him and his head of unruly hair. He had that something undefinable and I am so glad he has been as successful as he has. What a great, nice, caring, talented man.

I think I'll spin one of my favourite movies of his again: O Brother Where Art Thou.
