They have made America represent Hypocrisy instead of Freedom
This is really just a reminder to self to put in my journal.

Today America must represent hypocrisy to the world.

I could list examples in detail, but in summary they relate to...

...bans on marriage, bans on abortion, non-diversity in religion, border walls, phone tapping, destroying habeas corpus, lying to the public, 'with us or against us', overextending executive power, healthcare and housing only the rich can afford, incompetent appointees, layoffs and pension raiding, corruption, treating 16 y/o pages like meat, banning stem cell research, etc etc etc.

Just to name a few. :eyes:

WTF are we going to do to make America the land of the free once again?

1. Taking back Congress was a good start.
Our work has just begun, but justice is coming.

2. Opposing nuclear proliferation of some countries, while ...
failing to followup on securing nuclear weapons and technology from the old USSR; failing to abide by past nonproliferation agreements; starting development of new generations of nuclear weapons; remaining the major holder, by far, of nuclear weapons; and winking at proliferation among "allies," including Israel, India, and Pakistan.

4. Thanks for the additions
I didn't think about international policies but they need to be included as well.

5. I am very optimistic about it as well
The web community is the best informed and therefore the best equipped to handle important decisions. As time goes on the 'morans' who can't even cut-and-paste, which probably include most Evangelicals, skinheads, and other types of ignoramuses, will dwindle away in significance.

6. Also
Of course there is much truth when you said "Today America must represent hypocrisy to the world", but I want to think maybe at the least a little less today(and tomorrow hopefully) than a week ago before the midterms.
To me, one of the greatest benefits of this bush slapdown is a clear message to the world that the American people feel misrepresented by the thugs in power. Happily no more.
